Unfortunately the game is littered with bugs, and they still aren't all fixed yet. Most of the people who have had the crashing/freezing problem are still getting it, just a lot less. Those who the patch does nothing for, try it on another system - you shouldn't have to - but you will have to because the game is unpredictable at best, so compatiable hardware will help, A sounds like a familiar story.
