Draft: Google has been Ruined? I refuse to believe it.

Hello azio.org readers. A lot of us will remember how google has remained, in essence, 75% the same over what must be almost a decade now. Recently something bad has happened, google.com has turned into yahoo.com
I personally feel, along with the masses of people with a clue, that this is unncessary on google’s behalf. There is No competition here. Right?
Has google lost its simplicity and ease of use with commercial bloatism? I , and I dont usually swear on my blog, farking hope not.
An update coming soon.

I think the reason that google rose to the position it currently enjoys is because it did exactly the opposite of what the then-competition was doing. While everyone else was focussing on making their sites portals (excite and infoseek come to mind) google remained simple with one simple goal — search. Moreso, not only did they do search, but they did it better than the rest. Unfortunately, as what generally happens to successful companies (and people for that matter) is they tend to overestimate the public’s enthusiasm and bloat outward into other things. While this isn’t bad by itself, for a company that rose to its zenith by simplicity alone, it creates problems.
